Red Sliced Agate Smooth Crystal Freeform Large Silver Toned Vintage Pendant

The bail is silver and textured. The stone is sliced fairly thick with gorgeous rough textures along the sides. Such a pretty piece in wonderful shape.   Red agate is primarily composed of silicon dioxide (\(SiO_{2}\)), with its red color coming from the presence of iron oxide impurities. It is a form of microcrystalline quartz known as chalcedony and has a hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Its chemical composition is \(SiO_{2}\), along with varying amounts of iron or manganese oxides and sometimes other impurities.   I have lots of other jewelry in my shop.
