Vintage Toledo Style Damascene Bird Bracelet Brooch Pendant Set

Estate jewelry tray inspection. Saturday afternoon. You're holding this vintage Toledo-style damascene jewelry set — a black-and-gold bird panel bracelet, oval brooch, and elongated pendant with floral scrollwork sharp enough to make ordinary costume jewelry request reassignment. A guy notices it immediately while pretending to understand damascene like he once visited Spain and became commissioner of tiny gold birds. He asks where you got it. You ignore him. Twenty minutes later he returns and asks whether the birds are ornamental or managing the flowers. By lunch he's recruited two vintage jewelry buyers and a woman who keeps saying Toledo work like she inspected every black panel before departure. The set has become the aviary meeting. Three-piece coordinated set. Black and gold-tone bird and floral motifs. Articulated panel bracelet. Fold-over clasp and safety chain. Bracelet opening: approx. 2.5 inches. Oval brooch with pin back. Elongated pendant with bail. Unsigned. Exact pieces shown. Ernesto Snodgrass counted the birds, saluted the bracelet, then asked which pendant was authorized to fly. He examined the brooch and asked if the pin was for grounding it. I needed to be somewhere else. I picked this up before some bozo split the set and listed each bird as poultry. Shipped right — packed by someone who understands vintage jewelry, not someone firing it loose into a mailer with tangled chains and a dead watch battery. Comes from a smoke-free lair.
