Gliga "Genial" Cello 4/4 Body Only

This cello is made by a workshop established in Romania by Vasile Gliga after he obtained his master craftsman qualification in Germany.

Made entirely by hand using wood from the Carpathian Mountains (the same material said to have been used by Stradivari), this cello achieves high quality through a traditional method of carving from a thick solid piece of wood (solid wood carving).

Unlike the method of bending plywood with heat processing often seen in beginner instruments, this instrument luxuriously uses solid wood. Therefore, it features a rich sound that is both substantial and clear.

Although this method involves carving away about 90% of the material, making it costly, it is offered at a price point unique to Eastern European production, boasting high cost performance for an entry-level model.

The bridge is a DESPIAU 2-tree model.

The model name Genial means wonderful in Romanian. As its name suggests, this cello is recommended as a first instrument.

[Condition]
There is a slight warp in the bridge, but it does not affect playability.
The black streaks on the top and back plates are not scratches but are original to the wood as knots.
Apart from the slight warp in the bridge, the instrument is in exceptionally beautiful condition with no scratches, almost like new.
