【About Zelkova Wood】
Zelkova is highly valued in Japan for its excellent water and durability resistance, as well as its beautiful grain. It is used in a wide range of applications, including architecture, furniture, and carvings. A disadvantage is that it is a high-grade wood, making it expensive. Another point is that it takes a very long time to dry, and if used before drying, it is prone to cracking, twisting, and warping. For important locations such as the main pillar of a house, it may be dried for over 10 years.
