Vintage 70s Skirt Suit Sears Roebuck Double Knit Polyester Women’s Suit-ILGWU

Your chance to own a wearable piece of history! Vintage 70s Sears Roebuck women’s suit- crafted by the ILGWU during the 1970s synthetic boom. Per the vintage label, it’s a size 12, but it fits like a 6. Two tiny blemishes, as pictured. One on the left inside sleeve, the other on the back of the skirt. Almost imperceptible.  Founded in 1900, the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union (ILGWU) was one of the first and largest U.S. labor unions to have a primarily female membership. Representing hundreds of thousands of clothing industry employees, it was a pivotal force for workers' rights, healthcare, and educational programs before merging into modern labor organizations.
