Erhu - Guyueqin Fang - Wan Qixing - Beautiful Condition
297.00 $
Description
I received this from an acquaintance, but it seems to be a good instrument, so I'm listing it for someone who can play it.
Condition:
There are some minor dirt and scratches that are difficult to see in the photos, but I believe the condition is quite good.
Compared to the other Erhu I am selling, even an amateur can tell that the sound produced is incredibly rich and expressive.
Wan Qixing Profile:
Born in Wuxi, a city northwest of Shanghai, in 1938, he began learning Erhu making while working at a musical instrument shop in Suzhou at the age of 15. He then started his career as an Erhu craftsman at a folk instrument factory in Suzhou.
In 1990, he became independent and established his own Erhu workshop, Gǔ Yuè Qín Fāng. He has researched Erhu for many years, and the quality born from his knowledge and experience in Erhu making is loved by professional musicians and recognized throughout China as the work of a master craftsman.
