JONI MITCHELL

*This US original pressing boasts high sound pressure, delivering a powerful sound quality with excellent spatial expansion, depth, and sharp, punchy instrument definition. Even CD reissues after digital remastering can't compete with the sound produced by a needle tracing the grooves of vinyl. Why is there such a difference?

Joni Mitchell, the pinnacle of female singer-songwriters, commands universal admiration and respect across eras and regions. This 1977 masterpiece features numerous experimental tracks from Joni's musical journey. Represented by pieces like the lengthy Paprika Plains, which features orchestral arrangements, it showcases many experimental compositions in her musical exploration. This fearless and bold approach has captivated artists and audiences with a passion for musical exploration, as exemplified by Björk, who commented, This fearless approach inspired my music.
Also noteworthy is the sound featuring the delicate, whisper-like bass playing of Jaco Pastorius, a genius beyond mere instrumental skill. The unique worlds created by Joni and Jaco perfectly match and resonate with each other, creating an overwhelming sonic space.
On side 3, track 2, a polyrhythm woven by multiple Afro-percussions creates a mystical groove for 6 minutes and 45 seconds, making it a unique track recommended for club DJs. Unusually, Joni's erotic melodies and occasional beautiful harmonies create an original worldview. Even among the many masterpieces of the 70s, this double LP is an outstanding, monumental masterpiece that stands out with its unique brilliance.
