Antique YAMAHA All Silver Flute Headjoint
This is a rare, custom-ordered silver headjoint from YAMAHA.
The bore diameter is 19.8mm.
It requires fitting for use.
There are no markings, possibly because it is a custom-made item,
but the crown design is clearly the same as that of YAMAHA's high-end models.
It should be compatible with older series of YAMAHA and Muramatsu flutes.
A simple way to distinguish between a silver headjoint and a nickel silver headjoint is to
hold the headjoint crown and flick the bore with your finger, then listen to the resonance.
Nickel silver, 14K gold, and AG600 will have a longer resonance.
Silver, on the other hand, will have almost no resonance.
