This is a naphtha-derived product. I mistakenly purchased the wrong model number. I have a total of three. I just ordered and purchased these the other day. Cooling efficiency drops if the filter isn't replaced. The material of this filter (KAF081A42) is not just paper, but **Filter Honeycomb Paper (Impregnated with antibacterial and antiviral agents, photocatalytic apatite titanium oxide)**.
The following naphtha-derived technologies are used here:
• Binder (Adhesive): **Synthetic resin (naphtha-derived adhesive)** is essential to maintain the honeycomb shape of the filter and to fix the photocatalyst to the paper.
• Antiviral agent/photocatalyst coating: Polymers and chemical agents used to fix these to the paper fibers are also based on petrochemical products, i.e., chemicals derived from naphtha. Raw material shortage: Due to tight naphtha supply, manufacturers of plastics and synthetic resins are prioritizing high-value, large-volume products and deferring the supply of resins and coating agents for fine auxiliary materials like filters.
• Production halt: Daikin has halted its filter production line due to reasons such as lack of coating agents and inability to receive adhesive resin.
