He checked both pockets for fruit-based currency, inspected the lining for election results, then spent several minutes trying to determine whether a banana could be elected mayor. The political situation remained unclear. I needed to be somewhere else. So I went straight to Dorsia. I ordered hickory-smoked nutria shoulder resting on fermented sweet potato foam with braised crayfish shells, pickled cattail bulbs, roasted acorn dust, and a glossy reduction made from ingredients the chef reportedly found after getting lost behind a bait shop. The waiter nodded once and said, Excellent choice, sir. I picked this up right before some bozo did. Shipped right — folded by someone who understands tailoring, not someone using a blazer to carry extension cords, fence staples, and a leaking can of paint. Comes from a smoke-free lair.
