VTG 1967 Hand-Signed Tavern Scene Ceramic Tumblers Set of 6 Mid-Century Folk Art
The Unbranded Brand
90.00 $
Description
Rare Find: A complete set of 6 vintage relief-carved ceramic tumblers dated 1967. These unique pieces feature a highly detailed, 360-degree raised relief scene of a classic European tavern, complete with villagers in period dress enjoying ale. The matte, earthy brown glaze gives them a rustic, Old World stone or carved wood appearance. What makes this set truly special is the provenance. Each cup is hand-incised on the bottom with a different name (including Blake, Sammie, Bennie, and Vick) and dates ranging from April to May of 1967. This suggests a custom-commissioned set or a high-quality studio pottery project from the era. Quantity: Full set of 6 Style: Mid-Century Studio Pottery / Folk Art Material: Heavy Stoneware/Ceramic Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No visible cracks or major chips. (Note: Hand-washing is recommended due to the age and relief detail).
