New Brain Police / Hyena & Rotten Egg 7-inch Record EP 45

Condition: New and unused, but please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item.

Hyena / Rotten Egg by Brain Police, a key figure in the early days of Japan's hard/heavy rock scene, featuring PANTA who sadly passed away in 2023, is finally released on 7-inch for the first time!

Hyena is a funky rock masterpiece with a dark feel, included in Brain Police's fifth original album Kamen Geki no Hero wo Kokuso Shiro, released in 1973. In recent years, it has been re-evaluated as a Japanese rare groove by DJs and enthusiasts, and the opening drum break is a must-have for DJs!

Rotten Egg on the coupling side, making its first appearance on analog sound source, is a cut from their comeback album Brain Police 7, released during their one-year reunion in 1990. This work features PANTA's vocals and Toshi's percussion & drums, with scathing lyrics and a primitive, dope sound that resonates powerfully.

Supervised by FLATT THE LAIDBACK (EXHUME EXHUME PRODUCTION) and remastered by 8ronix (Bullpen lab.), high-quality mastering has been applied with an awareness of sound quality for DJ play.
