Art Nouveau 1920s Hand-Painted Porcelain Salt & Pepper Shakers - Gilded Gold Top
Unbranded
This is a stunning pair of vintage porcelain salt and pepper shakers, dating to the early 20th century (circa 1910–1930). These pieces feature a classic Art Nouveau aesthetic with hand-painted, stylized floral motifs and elegant whiplash lines characteristic of the Arts & Crafts movement. Hand-painted organic floral pattern in soft yellows and greens, outlined in bold black for a high-contrast, graphic look. The tops are heavily gilded in a bright, lustrous gold finish. The porcelain has a warm, ivory-tone base. Elegant barrel or muffineer silhouette that fits comfortably in the hand. These shakers are in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. The gold gilding is remarkably well-preserved with minimal to no wear, which is rare for pieces of this age. While unmarked, these high-quality porcelain blanks were likely produced in Bavaria or Limoges and hand-decorated by a skilled artist. They measure 3 tall by 1.5 wide.
