Copeland Spode England Herring Hunt‎ Green #4 Footed Demitasse Cup and #2 Saucer

This is for one cup/saucer set. Cup is approx. 3 inches tall and 3 inch diameter across opening of cup (not including handle). The cup is marked #4 A Check and the saucer is marked #2 The Last Draw.  One vintage Copeland Spode England Herring Hunt / The Hunt green rim footed demitasse cup and saucer. This is the smaller demitasse/espresso-style cup, suitable for after-dinner coffee or espresso-style service. It is not a standard full-size teacup.  The cup has a footed base that fits into the saucer well. This is the smooth green rim/trim version. The cup and saucer feature classic English fox hunting / equestrian scenes.  Saucer has minor crazing/crackling on the underside and shelf wear/discoloration on the underside. Underside of saucer has an impressed mark that appears to read N over 42, likely indicating 1942 Copeland Spode production. Cup does not appear to have a date marking but has handwritten/painted underside numbers/marks as shown. Cup has some crazing/crackling on/in it. A hard-to-find footed demitasse form in the Copeland Spode Herring Hunt pattern. Lovely vintage English china piece for display, replacement, collection, or demitasse/espresso-style service.
