Description
Beautiful authentic Japanese studio pottery chawan bowl featuring a gorgeous celadon green crackle-glaze finish over a carved ribbed lotus petal exterior design. The unglazed base showcases a lovely gritty, iron-urich stoneware body and is clearly stamped with a hand-pressed maker's mark featuring the character 「川」 (Kawa / River). Excellent vintage condition with zero chips, cracks, or flea bites. An exceptional piece for display or a traditional tea ceremony collection or trinket bowl. See photos for close-ups of the artist's stamp and full dimensions.
