Description
This is a vintage yellow filter made by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar (now Leica), a long-established German optical equipment manufacturer. When used for black and white photography, it has the effect of rendering blue skies darker and emphasizing the contrast of clouds.
This filter is a clamp-on type, 36mm (commonly known as A36), and is not screw-in. It can be attached to early Leica lenses that support A36 size filters, such as the Leica Elmar 50mm f/3.5.
As it is an old item, there are signs of use, but the glass surface shows no noticeable scratches or fungus and is in relatively good condition. Please check the photos for the condition of the item.
