Vintage Limoges France Double Dish Bird of Paradise Fruit Basket Gold Handle

Vintage Limoges France porcelain double serving dish with center loop handle, decorated in the popular Bird of Paradise pattern.  Features two scalloped shallow bowls joined in the center with a high gold-gilded loop handle. Each side is decorated with a colorful exotic long-tailed bird swooping over a tipped basket overflowing with fruit — grapes, pears, peaches, cherries, and corn — surrounded by delicate foliage. Wide gold gilt trim around the scalloped rim and heavy gold on the handle.  Base is marked in green script Limoges FRANCE (see photo).  Measurements:  • Length: 8¾ (22.2 cm) tip to tip  • Width: 5½ (14 cm) at widest  • Height: 2½ (6.3 cm) to top of handle  Condition: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Gold trim is bright with only very light wear on the very edge of the handle (hard to see). Transfer decoration is crisp and unfaded. Please see all photos — they are part of the description.
