Seediq Bale DVD Cape

A spectacular incident that occurred under Japanese rule in Taiwan, conceived over 10 years, is brought to the screen! A 4.5-hour film that will challenge your values. This is Taiwan's longest historical epic, a two-part film spanning 4 hours and 36 minutes, depicting the Wushe Incident, an armed uprising by indigenous people during the 50-year period of Japanese rule in Taiwan from 1895. Production began in 1999, and the Seediq people are portrayed by Taiwanese indigenous actors, many of whom have no prior acting experience. Supporting them are a豪華 cast including Masanobu Ando, Yuichi Kimura, Sabu Kawahara from Japan, and Vivian Hsu, who has indigenous ancestry.
