Description
Add an extraordinary touch of timeless folk artistry to your home with this magnificent vintage 1930s-1940s hand-appliquéd and hand-quilted floral wreath quilt! An exceptional piece of historic American needlework, this quilt features a deeply rich colonial blue cotton ground that makes the crisp white hand-appliquéd floral swags absolutely pop. The level of craftsmanship is spectacular: the entire blue ground is heavily quilted by hand in a dense diagonal diamond cross-hatch, with a radiating starburst quilting motif in the center. The borders are beautifully finished with an elegant, rolling scalloped edge and matching white binding. It is a dream statement piece for a cottagecore bedroom, grandmillennial home styling, or a high-end vintage textile collection. Please Note: This is an authentic vintage textile. It has been beautifully preserved over the decades with tight stitches and strong, vivid fabric colors. Review all photos for closer detail. More photos available on request.
