This is a copper wow-wow mute manufactured by Jo-Ral.
It produces a warmer tone than aluminum.

■ Jo-Ral Vintage
The mutes, designed by founder Joe Alessi (trumpet player) based on suggestions from leading brass musicians, are made of hand-spun aluminum and are of extremely high quality. They demonstrate outstanding performance in all registers and will be a powerful partner for musical expression (from manufacturer's description).

There are scuffs, dents, and minor damage from use.
There is an oxidized film due to age, but it should polish up nicely.
It's a bit heavier than current models!
