Hull Wheelbarrow Planter 450 USA

Hull Pottery was an American pottery company founded in Crooksville, Ohio, in 1905 by Addison Hull. The company became renowned for its decorative art pottery, particularly its colorful glazes and figural pieces, which were popular throughout the mid-20th century. Hull Pottery produced a wide array of items, including vases, bowls, and planters, often featuring floral motifs and whimsical designs. This particular piece, identified by the 450 USA mark, is a wheelbarrow-shaped planter, a common form produced by Hull during their mid-century production years. These planters were designed to add a charming, rustic touch to homes and gardens, and they remain popular among collectors of vintage pottery and gardenalia. The distinctive ruffled rim and the cart-like base are characteristic of Hull's decorative style during this era.
