This is an all-purpose saddle that can be used for both dressage and show jumping competitions. It was used by a 178cm male (the seller) for approximately 2-3 years (around 200 rides) and was also used in competitions.
It is a Stübben saddle from Germany, which was passed down from an acquaintance.

While the manufacturing method and construction are over 20 years old and not the latest, it can still be used without any issues.
In fact, with this saddle, I was able to comfortably jump small obstacles, including oxers up to 60cm, without any problems.
You can also navigate courses for Class B and C dressage without issue.
The condition is well-maintained, so despite signs of use, it does not feel its age.

However, there are some areas showing age-related deterioration. The sponge in the seat appears to have deflated, making it very hard. Therefore, while it might be acceptable for show jumping, a gel cushion is likely essential for dressage use.
Additionally, the original stirrup leathers were worn and flimsy, so they have been replaced with new ones.

Furthermore, as shown in the photos, the leather bond on the girth strap has dried out due to age, causing the front and back of the strap to separate.
I used it as is, but if this is a concern, you will need to reapply leather bond or hand-stitch it.

Overall, while there are signs of use, the saddle does not feel old and is perfectly suitable for everyday use, even if not for top-tier competition.
It comes with an easy-to-handle nylon girth, making it recommended for beginners or as a backup saddle for rainy days.
