Description
These are rubber cheek pieces worn with a bit. They are used for horses that tend to take the bit too far into their mouths when they open them. They can also be used for therapeutic purposes on horses with cuts on the corners of their mouths.
Attaching bit guards softens the contact on the corners of the mouth, allowing the horse to accept the bit more comfortably.
Made of rubber, they have some stretch. Applying petroleum jelly to the bit rings will make them easier to attach. Recommended to have as a spare.
