Description
Vintage ElBro Japan Canadian Royal Mounted Police Mountie Porcelain Figurine This is a lovely vintage ceramic figurine of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer, commonly known as a Mountie. Stamped on the bottom El.Bro Japan. Elbro was a brand that produced various hand-decorated ceramic items in Japan, popular in the mid-20th century, particularly the 1950s. The items often included figurines, teacups, ashtrays, and other decorative objects. Elbro is known livingly for its kitschy, vintage style. This Mountie has been hand painted and is on a pedistal reading CANADA. Measures about 7.5 tall. It is in good vintage condition with some wear on the paint - especially on the back. There is also crazing to the glaze on the base that goes through the glaze but not through the porcelain. Great for a collector or a even a retired Mountie.
