Vintage Siamese Cat Planter Blue Eyes MCM Ceramic Pottery 6 Inch US Royal Copley

Vintage mid-century ceramic Siamese cat planter that appears to be Royal Copley pottery. This approximately 6-inch-tall seated cat features cream and dark brown shaded glazing, a curled dimensional tail and striking hand-painted turquoise-blue eyes. An open compartment along the back can hold a small plant, flowers, pens or other small items. The stylized expression and classic color-point design make it an appealing addition to a vintage pottery, cat figurine or kitschy animal planter collection. Unmarked base with later-added felt pads. Likely American-made circa the 1940s–1950s. Vintage preowned condition with light surface wear, scattered marks, glaze irregularities and minor crazing. The interior has minor residue and spotting from previous use. See pictures for further details on condition.
