1945 Jaeger LeCoultre WW2 P478 33.5 Swiss Mechanical Watch Officers Pvt Purchase

I’m pleased to offer this rare piece of history. This particular JLC was produced for the American domestic market and privately purchased by a military (likely army) officer for duty. The manufacture date and serial number point to early to mid 1945- so it did not get to see much, if any conflict.  This watch was just freshly serviced by a master watchmaker. It was disassembled, cleaned, and regulated (it was already in working condition). This service is warrantied for 12 months from 6/20/2026. The dial is original and radium coated and retains its beautiful patina. It was sealed with an artisans wax to retain this beauty and prevent any radioactive escapement. The acrylic crystal looks to be original.  The watch case is stamped “10K RGP” at 12 o clock.  Needless to say, the watch winds smooth and runs well.  The band is a brand new top grain calfskin leather.  Ready to be worn, enjoyed, or tucked away for the next generation. Will be shipped fully insured to its new home.  Thanks for looking.
