Description
A Conrad Argosy published by Doubleday, Doran & Company in 1942 features an extensive collection of Joseph Conrad's most celebrated works, including Heart of Darkness, Youth, and The Secret Agent. This special edition is distinguished by striking woodcut illustrations by Hans Alexander Mueller and an introduction by William McFee. The volume is set in 11 pt. Janson linotype with Bulmer handset headings, reflecting high-quality mid-century book design and typography by A. P. Tedesco. While the interior remains clean, the cover shows characteristic age-related wear, and a vintage bookplate and small markings are present on the inner front cover. Please use measurements provided in the photos and ask any questions prior to purchasing - I want happy customers!
