Up for sale is a beautiful and collectible vintage/commemorative porcelain lithophane candle holder crafted by the prestigious Norwegian manufacturer Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik.  This exquisite piece features a highly detailed, textured relief based on the famous 1900 artwork by renowned Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen: Elgen kommer for tørsten at slukke (The moose comes to quench its thirst). Made of fine unglazed bisque porcelain (biscuit), the relief of the moose in the forest beautifully illuminates and comes to life when a tealight or candle is lit inside.  The side of the cup features the artist's name Th. Kittelsen incised into the porcelain. The bottom bears the authentic black Porsgrund anchor backstamp, commemorating the dates 1885 - 2014.
