K*U様 Holton Trumpet "Al Hirt" Model T500 (with case)
This is the Al Hirt model by the legendary Frank Holton.
(Notes) The bell is slightly bent downwards.
Al Hirt was a trumpet player who was very popular around the 1960s.
He became famous for his work in classical, jazz, and popular music.
His song Java was a big hit.
Although the names are similar, he is a different person from Herb Alpert, a trumpet player for Tijuana Brass, whose song Taste of Honey was a big hit.
- Color: Gold lacquer finish
- Accessories: The case does not appear to be Holton.
- Piston valves: Very smooth.
- The bell is slightly bent downwards.
It could be sold for more if repaired, but since this part does not affect the sound, it is being offered at a lower price as is.
The important leadpipe is straight, as shown in the photo.
- The third slide trigger is missing.
If you need it for intonation correction in the lower register, please obtain one separately.
The bell is engraved as follows, as shown in the photo:
Frank Holton
Al Hirt

The leadpipe is engraved with the model number of this trumpet:
T500
The serial number is engraved on the second valve.
You can find out the manufacturing date by asking at a large musical instrument store like Nonaka Boeki, but intuitively, I believe this instrument is from the 1960s, when Al Hirt was very popular.
Holton instruments are expensive, but this trumpet with a flaw on the bell is a great deal.
