VTG Japanese Damascene Tie Clip Mt. Fuji Pagoda Gold Silver Inlay Estate Jewelry

Elevate your formalwear with this striking mid-century Japanese Damascene tie bar. This piece showcases a highly detailed, hand-crafted scenic panel depicting traditional sailboats (junk ships), a pagoda village nestled in the trees, and the iconic Mount Fuji rising in the background. Damascene is a historic metalworking technique where genuine 24k gold and sterling silver are meticulously inlaid into a darkened steel base, creating beautiful high-contrast artistry. The design is a traditional Japanese landscape (Mt. Fuji, Pagoda, Sailboats) and it is made from 24K Gold & Sterling Silver inlay on darkened steel; brass/gold-toned base metal clip. It is vintage, circa 1950s - 1960s and has an alligator slide-on bar. It measures 3.25 long, suggesting the mid-century designation. It is in great pre-owned vintage condition! The scenic front panel is crisp with excellent contrast and minimal wear. The brass-toned back clip shows a warm, authentic vintage patina/tarnish consistent with age. Clasp is tight, strong, and fully functional. Please see all photos for details. Smoke-free home.
