They are dressed in the wedding costumes with the bride in a large crown with ribbons and the groom with a top hat. Both hold flowers. The text on the tapestry says Velkommen Til Vårt Hjem or Welcome to Our Home. Embroidered in hues of red, black, pink, gold, green and brown with glittery gold and silver thread accenting the piece and illustrating the traditional gold and silver jewelry, called sølje. The tapestry is held and mounted by a silver heart metal hanger. The tapestry is lined on the back with a linen backing. The piece has no snags or imperfections.
