Trumpet YAMAHA YTR-902
This is the first custom series in the Yamaha trumpet lineup, released in 1970.
It was released just four years after the Imperial model YTR-1 in 1966. Nineteen models were announced as the custom series YTR-9XX, and their meticulous lineup, leveraging the unique characteristics of each model, gained popularity.
Furthermore, 1970 was a significant turning point for Yamaha, not only in its product lineup but also with the absorption and merger of Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd. and the commencement of operations at the Tomioka factory.
This particular YTR-902 model is characterized by its extensive use of red brass and its medium bore specification, and was praised for its exquisite sound balance, featuring a thick, rich resonance with a slight brilliance.
