Vintage Tibetan Nepalese Ghau Gau Buddhist Traveling Prayer Shrine Pouch

Vintage Tibetan / Nepalese ghau (gau) traveling prayer bag or portable Buddhist shrine.  Features a hammered repoussé white-metal front panel with traditional decorative motifs and central shrine window, attached to an original brocade textile pouch with fabric shoulder strap. These devotional pouches were traditionally worn or carried to hold protective prayers, relics, herbs, or other sacred objects.  Original contents remain visible behind the front window.  Condition is good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear from use and storage. Metal shows patina and surface wear consistent with age. Brocade textile shows light discoloration, fading, minor fraying, and wear to edges/strap. No major structural issues noted.Window is slightly discolored - devotional object appears to still be inside but not fully visible.   Likely mid-20th century (approximately 1940s–1970s), though exact age and origin are unknown. Appears to be a handmade devotional object rather than a modern tourist reproduction.
