We are releasing Black Mist No.05 N and Black Mist No.1 N with renewed packaging for Kenko Black Mist No.05 and No.1, which sparked the Black Mist boom.
The packaging features works by photographer Takashi YASUI and Ayuki WA, who helped spread the appeal of Black Mist. The filter effect remains the same, but it now features a water- and oil-repellent coating and a slim frame.
Black Mist is a soft filter that sandwiches extremely fine black diffusion material between optical glass.
It suppresses contrast between highlights and shadows for softer depictions and creates a unique glow from light sources.
The appeal of Black Mist is that you can achieve a cinematic atmosphere right out of the camera, without retouching.
Black Mist No.05 N has half the softening effect of Black Mist No.1 N.
