Description
This is an adorable vintage KEWPIE DOLL. Sweet, sweet baby doll from 1950's has tiny little ears, fingers and toes, sideways glancing eyes, rosy cheeks, and brown molded hair. Both arms are jointed so can be moved and posed. This has a handmade dress from my grandma crocheted. Looks like the Gerber baby from advertising. Dolls such as this were given as carnival prizes in the US beginning in the 1920s. Molded crest on back has Irwin in a sash across middle and Made in USA around edge of circle. Not easily seen under the dress but I tried to take the picture. (grandmas dress has some discoloration on the front bib but I am sure can be washed. Measures 6.5 inches from top of head to tips of toes when doll is standing.
