Sheet Music: Brass Quartet "Three Equales"

These are three Equale by the musical genius Beethoven.

This piece, said to have been performed at Beethoven's own funeral, is dark and somber, yet it is a majestic, incredibly beautiful, and captivating work.
As the title Equale (= piece for the same instrument) suggests, it was originally written for four trombones. However, the upper parts are difficult to play on alto trombone due to their range, so they have been arranged for trumpet or horn. The lower parts remain for trombone, but we have also prepared parts for trumpet and horn, allowing it to be performed as a flexible brass quartet with the following instrumentation:
- Parts 1 & 2: Trumpet or Horn
- Parts 3 & 4: Trombone, Trumpet, or Horn

You can also enjoy this piece as a trumpet quartet, horn quartet, or as a clarinet ensemble with the B-flat parts.
