【Like New】Grieg 5C Tenor Trombone Mouthpiece, Large Shank, Artist Series

This is a Griego 5C large bore, silver-plated mouthpiece, nearly new with only a few test plays.
This is the basic model from Griego, a mouthpiece brand by Christian Griego, a world-renowned trombonist who also worked as an instrument development engineer for Edwards Trombones for many years. Its thick rim and heavy design produce a rich, symphonic sound, while the rim thickness provides a forward balance, making it easy to control your embouchure. In other words, it's very easy to get a good sound.
The inner rim diameter is 26.02 mm, and the bore size (the inner diameter of the narrowest airway at the bottom of the mouthpiece) is 7.19 mm. This is very similar to a Bach 4C, but because the cup depth is a medium-sized C, it's surprisingly easy to play in the mid to high range.
This mouthpiece is recommended for 2nd and 3rd trombone players, but players with a strong air stream may find it suitable for the lead position as well. Ample air passes through moderate resistance to the instrument, producing a very full sound. Amateur players might consider using it as a mouthpiece for breath training exercises.
The mouthpiece is in beautiful condition, with only minor scratches and insertion marks on the joint from when it was purchased.
The new retail price is ¥46,000 (tax included), but we are offering it at an exceptional price. It will be delivered in a cloth pouch and its original Griego case.
