London during World War I.
Cronin, a British officer, and Myra, a ballet dancer, meet on Waterloo Bridge amidst the air raid sirens.
The two fall deeply in love and become engaged the very next day.
However, the times tear them apart, and Cronin is sent back to the battlefield.
The news that reaches Myra, who bravely waits for his return, is that Cronin has been killed in action.
A beautiful yet tragic love story of two people whose fate leads them to a tragic end.

One of Vivien Leigh's representative works, alongside Gone with the Wind and A Streetcar Named Desire.
