Vintage mid-century Japanese Fancy Address Book featuring cover artwork reproduced from a Kano School Edo-period folding screen depicting flowers, birds, and figures from the Four Seasons series.  The original gold title label on the box identifies this edition as:  Shūkei Fūzoku-zu (秋景風俗図) – Autumn Landscape Genre Scene  Catalog No. 22-048  Original Japanese retail price ¥2000  The set includes the original Japanese description card, which explains that the cover image is a scaled reproduction of a real historic folding screen from the Kano School of the Edo period, one of Japan's most important classical painting traditions.  The panel shown represents Picture of Spring from the Flowers and Birds of the Four Seasons screen.
