Tote is a separate all-wood friction-fit piece, consistent with early American and English hand plane construction of the era. Wedge-secured iron assembly. No maker's stamp on body or irons. Strike button present on toe. Body shows honest age patina, surface checking, and minor cracking at heel end typical of 19th century wooden planes. Sole and mouth remain intact and functional.
