Academy Silver on Copper Teapot with Curved Handle

This item is a vintage silver-plated teapot manufactured by the Academy Silver Company of New York City, which was highly active during the mid-20th century (predominantly the 1950s).          Material & ConstructionComposition: It is made of silver-plate electroplated over a solid copper base.  Wear Characteristics: The underlying copper is visibly showing through on the lid, body, handle, and spout where the thin top layer of silver plating has worn away over time from polishing or use.
