Description
This is a vintage CorningWare petite casserole dish featuring the iconic Blue Cornflower pattern. The dish comes with a matching clear glass Pyrex lid. The Star/Flame Logo: The stylized starburst at the top is the early Corning Glass Works flame logo, used primarily during the early to mid-1960s. Model & Capacity: The P-41 designation indicates a Petite Pan shape. These small individual dishes have a volume capacity of 1 ¾ cups (roughly 12 to 14 fluid ounces). They were traditionally sold in sets of four for baking single-portion meals or side dishes. No Cornflower In Stamp: The absence of a printed blue cornflower graphic next to the text on the base confirms it was manufactured before 1966. Material and CareBecause this is an original 1960s piece, it is made of authentic Pyroceram glass-ceramic. It is highly durable and uniquely safe to transition directly from the freezer into a preheated oven, microwave, or directly onto a gas or electric stovetop burner. Good condition- no chips or cracks. Does have scuffing on bottom from age related use/wear. See photos for detail and measurements.
