Breath Pressure Meter (for Trumpet, Horn Mouthpiece, General Use)
This is a measuring device that visualizes the breath pressure during wind instrument performance.
0.1 mPa is equivalent to 100 kPa.
It may be easier to read if you understand it as 0.02 mPa → 20 kPa.
There are methods such as blowing directly into the tube or inserting it into a mouthpiece and blowing while forming an embouchure.
The former tends to show larger numbers, but the latter feels more accurate in terms of actual values.
The tube is thick enough to fit into trumpet and horn mouthpieces, but cannot be used with larger mouthpieces.
If there is demand, we can prepare thicker tubes.
As a guideline, for trumpet players, around 18 kPa is the average value, and for horn players, around 12-15 kPa (when using a mouthpiece).
For trumpet players, a breath pressure of around 15 kPa may be sufficient to produce a high B♭.
This is a DIY product, so there is no product warranty.
