McNeill’s Pottery Apple Bakers Set of 2 Drip-Glaze Bowls in Black and Blue

Set of two ceramic bowls. Deep black interior with blue drip-glaze accents around the rim. Glossy finish and artistic glazing. Versatile for serving or display. McNeill's Pottery, a family-owned studio in Seagrove, North Carolina. This specific design, characterized by a central spike or post, is typically used as an apple baker. Central Post: This feature is common in pottery designed for baking. For an apple baker, the center post allows the core of the apple to cook more evenly by conducting heat to the center. Similar spiked designs are also used for flower frogs (ikebana arrangements) or jewelry holders. Glaze Style: The bowl showcases a characteristic drip glaze, often featuring dark tones like Black Frost or Jade with lighter, flowing accents along the rim. Functionality: McNeill's Pottery is known for producing functional art that is lead-free, dishwasher-safe, microwaveable, and oven-safe.
