In addition to the square toe silhouette, it appears to have a wooden heel that is painted black - no visible nicks and what could be called a platform heel. The heel height is nearly 4 inches at the back, but that is offset by an almost 1 inch platform under the toe - making it feel like a 3 inch heel on the foot, but giving a little extra bump in height & glamour.
