This is a carbon shaft model of the historic Simond Special from Simond, a prestigious French manufacturer of mountaineering equipment.
This special specification was created during the transitional period when equipment evolved from wood shafts to aluminum and then to carbon. It is extremely rare and highly valuable, with very few units available on the market. The head is clearly engraved with CLAUDIUS SIMOND and Simond Special.
It combines the lightness and strength unique to carbon, making it an excellent item not only for actual use but also as a collectible or display piece due to its beautiful design.

The previous listing was for the item in its pre-maintenance condition. However, for this relisting, we have performed comprehensive maintenance, cleaning, and condition checks. We have done our best to restore it to a clean state.
