Vintage Studio Pottery Bowl Pierced Carved Rim Sage Brown Glaze Signed Powell

This vintage studio pottery bowl has a striking two-tone glaze, a warm speckled brown exterior giving way to a mottled sage green interior and rim, with a hand-carved pierced band of leaf and dot motifs cut through the rim just below the lip.  The piece is hand-thrown stoneware, incised on the base with a cursive signature reading Powell. The maker has not been definitively identified, but the signature style is consistent with independent American studio pottery of the mid-to-late 20th century.  Condition: Gently used. No chips or cracks noted; light wear consistent with age and handling.
