(Cleaned and tuned) Old Kruspe Pre-Hohner Full Double French Horn

This is a listing for an Old Kruspe Pre-Horn full double horn, manufactured between the 1910s and 1930s.

It is made of yellow brass with silver plating, combining the resonance of unlacquered instruments with the durability of lacquered ones.

Furthermore, it has undergone intonation adjustment using heat treatment, a method currently popular among some professional musicians.
As a result, the intonation is excellent, and the sound resonance is believed to be as it was during manufacturing. It has a sweet, resonant tone, making it more suitable for a singing playing style rather than playing at high volumes.

This instrument has been stored for a long time and is in very good condition, with only a patch on a part of the bell and no other dents.

The rotors have been nickel-plated at a Kruspe specialist workshop that used to be in Hamamatsu, so there are no issues with airtightness.
At that time, it was modified to become a push F (open B♭).
(Regarding Pre-Horns, open B♭ is more suitable for Japanese people with smaller hands.)

It is rare to find an Old Kruspe with replated rotors, adjusted intonation, and almost no dents.

Pre-Horns were only made before the war and are very valuable instruments. They have a sweet, mellow tone that modern instruments lack.

*There are no major dents, but there are minor dents from use. These are small and do not affect playability at all.
