APEXEL ★ 100mm Macro Lens ★ Long Range Macro ★ Also for Product Photography

This is the HD 100mm Macro Lens from Apexel, a Chinese manufacturer of smartphone photography equipment. Model: HB100MM.

Although not indicated on the box or elsewhere, this is what's known as a long-range macro lens among macro lenses.

Typical external macro lenses for smartphones allow you to get as close as about 1cm, where the phone's built-in lens can't focus. However, getting too close can cause the shadow of the phone or the lens body to darken the subject, making it difficult to ensure sufficient brightness.

This lens, on the other hand, allows you to shoot from a distance of 5-10cm, eliminating that concern and making shooting easier.

You might think macro lenses are specialized for shooting things like leaf veins or insect compound eyes, but they are also very useful for those selling items on flea market apps.

It makes it easier to convey details such as the texture of product materials, small logo marks, and the condition of scratches on used items. I have personally photographed a large number of products with this lens.

Furthermore, the shallow depth of field creates a blurred background, allowing you to take atmospheric photos that are impossible with just a smartphone. If you skillfully incorporate light sources into the background, you can also create bokeh effects.

Similar long-range macro lenses are also available from Ulanzi and Sandmarc. While the lens itself is smaller in size compared to those, it does not fall short in terms of photo quality.

The back of the lens features a 17mm thread, so in addition to using the included clip, you can also attach it directly to smartphone cases with a 17mm threaded hole.

Includes original box and all accessories; everything except the lens is unused.
The lens has only been used indoors, has not been dropped, and has no scratches on the lens or body.
