VETEMENTS Raincoat This raincoat was created during the peak of VETEMENTS, when the parody brand VETEMEMES was gaining attention. I recall that VETEMENTS positively embraced VETEMEMES's new humor and social commentary, incorporating it into a design and selling it at a special event for global copy products in South Korea (though my memory is a bit hazy). MEME refers to something that spreads through imitation, or to the humorous expression of trends and fads, and is printed on the front. The original VETEMEMES raincoat simply has VETEMEMES printed on the back, making this piece different.
